In the reunion-with-narrative show The Rascals: Once Upon a Dream, after a hamfisted filmed renactment of how the Rascals came up with the three-man one-two-three count that begins Good Lovin, the actual Rascals performed it, with the count, and it was thrilling, everyone leaping out of their seats. The classic songs in the show included Blue Suede Shoes, Fever, Thats All Right, Sixteen Tons, Great Balls Of Fire, Walk The Line, and Hound Dog. The Broadway musical was nominated for three Tony Awards in 2010. For jukebox musicals with a fictional plot, one common approach is to center the plot around one or more (fictional) singers or musicians, thus letting some of the songs be performed as songs within the show. A lot of high school dances are rather tame affairs, with a bowl of face punch, a low budget DJ and a teacher having to work as the ring leader (supposedly after having lost some sort of staff bet). Comdie en vaudevilles and ballad operas are two genres that made heavy use of well-known melodies. . The songs can't organically grow out of character and situation because they were never meant to. Some of these musicals also told the life story of that composer. The style of the musical is documentary and it tells the story of how the group was founded, their success, and the break-up of the 1960s rock 'n roll group The Four Seasons.
